Event driven architecture (EDA) and SOA 2.0

Time for the next generation of systems integration?
Just as many IT shops are starting to get heads (and arms) around the service-oriented architecture (SOA) approach now that Web services standards are commonplace, there’s already another major way of making enterprises different systems sing and dance together.

Some people are talking about the SOA 2.0 and other are talking about Event Driven Arcitecture (EDA), which are two different view on the same thing basically, the term Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) is frequently used as technology that will enable these types archtiectures.

Finding skilled IT personell for your business

t is intereting to see that in some areas in Europe (e.g. Sweden), IT personell is starting to become a scarse resource, the IT consultant houses have difficulty in finding skilled people to hire.
Combined with the fact that Eastern Europe, China, India and other parts of the world are advancing their skill levels it might be possible that outsourcing will not be an issue of cost but of being able to employ the skills needed in the near future.
With the fact that R&D spending in the EU is comparitivly low in international terms, I see a potential risk of EU laging behind in innovation with IT and related segments. But this also opens opppertunities for cross-border and out-sourcing business ideas.

reboot 8.0

Today and tomorrow I am attending reboot 8.0 to get some new input and inspiration. So far it has been interesting, nothing really new under the sun, but lifting focus from all of the todos and what’s happening right now, and step back to get a view of the bigger picture while listening some of the bright and possionate minds here gives some food for thought.
